Focus training will be a Just-In-Time Trainings with a Train-the-Trainers model.
Just In Time - Because there is so much to learn we will be focusing on what you need to know right now to do your job. We are choosing smaller, immediate use learning rather than longer trainings that include future needs.
Train-the-Trainers - Staff who sign up for trainings will be responsible for making sure that those at their site who need the information get it.
Format - Some trainings will be in person and some will be webinars.

Clerical, certificated staff and admin training will begin June 8. If you have not yet logged in to Focus and will return to work July 6-20 and will need Focus for your job, your official onboard training will be June 8.
This is the formal launch for our new system. We want to ensure you feel confident and supported, as you begin to work in the new system.
Note: If you are unable to attend, your site will need to onboard you. Talk to your site admin to find out who will be doing this at your site.

Teachers will be trained by their DLS and site leads at staff meetings. There is one paid summer teacher training for DLS and site leads who will be helping at staff meetings. There will be additional paid trainings available during the Fall. These paid training sessions are designed to build our capacity for site-based support. By registering for and attending a paid training, you will be asked to serve as a 'Table Lead' at your school. Your name will be shared with your site leadership so they can look to you for peer support during subsequent staff meetings on that topic.

If you will be back to work between July 6-July 20th and will need to use Focus during that time, then, yes you should come. Sign up for training in KickUp. (If you don't have a KickUp account, click here to request one.)

Ask your administrator who from your site will be bringing the information and activity guides back for you to train you.

If you are classified staff and the training is outside of your duty day, check with your supervisor. If your supervisor approves for you to go the training it will be paid.
Certificated staff attending the teacher training July 24 will be paid.

There will be a Train the Trainers for DLS and designated site leads on July 24th. All teachers will be trained on Focus during staff meetings throught the year.

Yes. We want to check your login before you arrive and need to know you are coming. Additionally, this will allow us to contact you if there are any last minute changes and to track who has been to which trainings. Sign up for training in KickUp.
